It covers the complete PPL syllabus and teaches the you how to instruct across the length and breadth of the PPL Course. There is also instruction in how to give Pre Flight Briefings and Long Briefings for the PPL Theory. Once completed you will face a long day's scrutiny at the hands of an examiner who will test your instructional technique in both the classroom and in the cockpit. Your flying capabilities are not necessarily being tested, although a high degree of airmanship is expected. Meet the knowledge requirements for the grant of a CPL(A). Have a CPL(A) or have completed at least 200 hours of flight time of which 150 hours as PIC if holding a PPL(A). Have completed at least 10 hours instrument flight instruction in aeroplanes, of which not more than 5 hours may be instrument ground time in a FNPT or a flight simulator. Have completed at least 20 hours of cross-country flight as PIC of aeroplanes, including a cross-country flight of at least 540km (300 nm) in the course of which full-stop landings at two aerodromes different from the aerodromes of departure shall be made. Have completed at least 30 hours on single engine piston powered aeroplanes of which at least 5 hours shall be in the six months preceding the pre-entry flight test. Have passed a specific pre-entry flight test within the six months preceding the start of the course. Are there any exams? Flying Test with post and pre flight briefings. The following is not included: The pre course test (allow 1 hour at the standard dual training rate), hire of the aircraft for the test (allow 2 hours), examiner fees for the test (approx. £250) and CAA rating issue fees. Flying Instructors Course

What's involved?

Prerequisites

Minimum age 18

Current EASA Class 1 or 2 medical

English Language Proficiency level 6
