Flight Performance and Planning

Aircraft have a specified weight which must not be exceeded.

This will be found in the Pilots Operating Handbook (POH) and Flight Manual.

The responsibility for this lies with the Pilot in Command.

Maximum Total Weight Authorised is the maximum weight for take off. It is also known as
MAUW Maximum All Up Weight and MTOW Maximum Take off Weight.
